Holstein open day raises 30,000 for neonatal unit

Holstein NI’s family open day, sponsored by Lacpatrick and Ecosyl from Volac, has been hailed as a phenomenal success. The event, hosted by the Smyth family’s Ballyweaney Herd at Cloughmills, attracted more than 1,500 people and has raised 30,000 for the Perinatal Trust Fund at the Royal Victoria Hospital’s Neonatal Unit. Trip to Toronto Winter Fair

image003Semex is organising a trip to the Royal Agricultural Winter Fair in Toronto. Costing 1,350 per person, the 8-day tour runs from 4th to 11th November 2017. The itinerary also includes a trip to Niagara Falls, a vineyard tour, a multiple farm visits. The price includes flights from Heathrow airport, accommodation, breakfast and lunch.

May 2017: Champion leads Kilrea bull entry at 2,500gns

Pedigree bulls attracted strong demand at Holstein NI’s May show and sale, hosted by HA McIlrath and Sons at Kilrea Mart. Prices peaked at 2,500gns, with auctioneer Mark Stewart confirming that 8 lots were traded to average 1,981 each. Read more >>>
