July 2014: Holstein prize draw winners announced

Holstein NI has announced the winners of its free prize draw generously sponsored by Devenish Nutrition.

The lucky winners are Alan Porter from Drumbo, and Ian Maybin from Broughshane.

They both receive a free place on Holstein NI’s two-day trip which includes a visit to the inaugural UK Dairy Day. The prize includes return flights, accommodation and meals.

Departing on Tuesday 16th September 2014, the itinerary includes visits to the Helton herd, home of Helers Cheese, and the Woodmarsh and Wyndford herds. UK Dairy Day takes place at Telford International Centre on Wednesday 17th September.

Holstein NI secretary John Martin said:”We are indebted to Devenish Nutrition for its generous sponsorship of the prize draw.  The prize draw attracted hundreds of entries from visitors to our stand at Balmoral Show, and our recent farm walk held at the Perry family’s Killane herd in Ahoghill.”

June 2014: Free trip to UK Dairy Day up for grabs

Devenish Nutrition has teamed up with Holstein NI to offer two people a chance to win a trip to the inaugural UK Dairy Day.

Entry to the prize draw is free, and the two lucky winners will each receive a free place on Holstein NI’s two-day trip. The prize includes return flights, accommodation and meals.

The farm walk will be hosted by the Perry family’s noted Killane herd at 81 Glenhugh Road, Ahoghilll, County Antrim, BT42 1JD, commencing at 7.30pm.

Everyone is welcome, and the event will also coincide with the presentation of awards for the club’s annual herds inspection competition sponsored by Ulster Bank.
